Privacy Policy — Masaood Events
Last updated:
This notice explains what personal information Masaood Events handles and why. Masaood Events is the website at https://masaoodnationalday2026.com and the Masaood Events staff app for iPhone and iPad. Both are used to run Al Masaood's Eid Al Etihad Celebration 2026: the guest list, registration, tickets, check-in at the door and the event raffle.
Who can take part
The event is for invited employees. A person can register only if their work email and employee number match an entry on the event's guest list. If you are not on the list, your HR contact can add you.
Information about guests
- Guest list entries: full name, work email address, employee number and department, as provided by the event team.
- Registration: your name, work email address and employee number, the status of your registration, and if the event is full, your place on the waitlist.
- Sign-in codes and links: when you ask to access your registration, a one-time code or link is sent to your work email address.
- Your ticket: a QR code linked to your registration. Your ticket shows your name, your employee number and the venue. You can choose to add it to Apple Wallet.
- Check-in: when your ticket is scanned at the door, the time, the entrance and the staff account that scanned it are recorded.
- Raffle: eligible registrations take part in the event raffle. The winning registration is recorded, and a winner's name may be shown on the event's stage screen.
- Email: a record of each email sent to you (address, type of message and whether it was delivered).
Information about staff
Event staff sign in to the website and the staff app with a work email address and a password. Their account holds their email address, name, role and the events they can work on. Sign-in times are recorded. Failed sign-in attempts are recorded with the email address used and the network address they came from, to block repeated guessing. Staff actions such as check-ins and raffle draws are recorded with the staff account that made them.
The staff app
The Masaood Events app is for event staff only. It uses the camera only to read ticket QR codes; images are not stored or sent anywhere. The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
The website
The website stores your language choice in a cookie (masaood.locale) and keeps a signed-in session in your browser's local storage. Event pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to download them.
How the information is used
The information is used only to run the event: to check that guests are invited, register them, send tickets and messages about the event, check guests in at the door, run the raffle, and let the event team manage the guest list.
Event assistant
Event staff can use a built-in assistant to ask questions about an event and to prepare work. A staff member's question, and the event information the assistant reads to answer it, which can include guest details, are sent to the AI services OpenRouter and DeepSeek through BytePlus ModelArk. Guests do not use the assistant.
Services that handle the information
- Contabo: the server that runs the website, the app's service and the database, and stores uploaded files.
- Cloudflare: delivers the website and app traffic, and stores encrypted backups (Cloudflare R2).
- Brevo and Google (Gmail): send event emails.
- Apple: Apple Wallet, when you choose to add your ticket to it.
- OpenRouter and BytePlus ModelArk: the event assistant described above.
Security
Connections to the website and the app are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes. Ticket codes are stored as hashes, not as the codes themselves. Backups of the database are encrypted before they leave the server.
Changing or removing your information
To correct your details, or to ask for your entry to be removed from the guest list, contact your HR contact or the event team. The event team can update or remove guest list entries in the event system. Registered guests can cancel their registration from their registration page.
